Simon Hesserud Persson and Andria Gogelidze became the first two ring winners of the 2025 WSOPC Tallinn on a busy Monday at the sun-soaked Olympic Casino in the heart of the Estonian capital.
Hesserud Persson topped a bumper Mini Main Event field, while Gogelidze showed his prowess in both formats to take down the PLO4/PLO5 event, defeating local player Taago Tamm after a rapid-fire heads up clash.
The action shows no signs of slowing down, with Tuesday bringing the first of three starting flights in the highly anticipated €1 million guaranteed Main Event, the conclusion of the €350 NLH Queens ring event, and two more ring events commencing as the WSOPC festival kicks into top gear in Tallinn.
Sweden's Simon Hesserud Persson entered the final day of the Mini Main Event third in chips but left with the title, €45,700, and the honor of being the first ring winner at the 2025 WSOPC Tallinn.
The final hand, captured by Poker.pro’s Christoffer Karlén, saw Lithuania’s Vytautas Riskevicius shove with pocket deuces 2♠2♣. Hesserud Persson looked down at A♠K♦and made the call without hesitation.
There was little sweat for the Swede as the flop came A♥10♠A♣, leaving Riskevicius all but drawing dead. The 10♥on the turn sealed it with a full house, confirming Hesserud Persson as the first ring winner of the week in Tallinn.
The Mini Main drew a strong 954-player field and saw Hesserud Persson notch the biggest live score of his career, surpassing his previous bests from events closer to home in Stockholm.

Estonia's Taago Tamm would run Gogelidze close, but was unable to complete the job on home soil after a short but entertaining heads-up battle at the Olympic Casino.
The 268-runner field would combine to create an impressive €127,300 prizepool. You can check out the hand that would confirm Gogelidze as the second ring winner of the week below:
