To begin the discard pile, the top card from the draw pile is turned face up. Players take turns drawing a card from either the draw pile or the discard pile, and then discarding a card from theirphonepe app hand. Creating runs of three or more consecutive cards of the same suit, or sets of three or four cards of the same rank, is the aim. A player can "knock" by ending the round and revealing their hand once they have formed enough sets and runs in their hand. A player gains "gin" & wins the round right away if they can arrange all of their cards into sets & runs without any unmatched cards.
