The legend of "Peter," a loose cannon who loves to gamble, grew on Thursday during Hustler Casino Live'sfirst poker stream of 2025.

Peter lost a bunch quickly in the $100/$100 ($100 big blind ante) game that often played even bigger. But he found a strategy to get some of it back in no time — just go all in.

How to Get Unstuck in Poker

Peter began the show by getting it all in with pocket aces on the flop in a $40,000 pot, but would lose to "Adi's" king-high flush on the turn. He'd get that money back on the next hand, winning a preflop all in race to scoop a pot of the same size.

The break-even start didn't last long as Peter was down over $100,000 within the first two hours of the five-hour stream. But he'd get a chunk of that deficit back before long, all of it coming from Adi thanks to some good luck (or bad luck, depending on the player).

Peter called off a $17,000 all in bet with Jx10xand lost to a king-high hand. He'd give it another shot two hands later.

The first of the two hands, late in the Stand Up Game, began with Adi raising to $1,200 from the hijack with K♥K♦. Peter looked down at 3♥3♣in the big blind and felt it was strong enough to move all in for $22,200. His opponent, without hesitation, called only to lose a bad beat to flopped quads.

Poker vlogger Mariano Grandoli also suffered a bad beat in that hand. Peter's win left Mariano as the last player "standing" — they don't actually stand — in the Stand Up Game, and he had to pay out $3,500 total spread across the table for his penalty.

The second hand started with Francisco limping under the gun with A♠10♠. Mariano then called with Q♣7♣before Adi made it $2,000 from the lojack with A♦K♠. "Klu" had 10♦9♦on the button and went for a three-bet to $6,000, only for Peter to shove all in for $45,300 in the small blind with the powerful 2♥2♦.

Adi made the call, while Klu folded. Peter sought a second straight double-up against the same player, and he'd get what he was looking for when the board ran out 9♣Q♠4♥6♦5♥and the deuces held up.

The good fortune was short lived for Peter, who ended up the game's biggest loser down $168,600. Adi got some revenge and ended the stream with a $45,100 profit. "Wes Side" Wesley Fei also competed in the game and booked a $33,600 win on the first Hustler Casino Liveshow of 2025.

Peter has become one of the most polarizing figures on HCL due to his unpredictable style of play. He's lost numerous times on the show, but went legend in June when he won during all three of his appearances in the Million Dollar Games for a $4.9 million profit. He's down well over $1 million outside the MDG, however.
