A standard deck of cards is used in the game, which usually has two to six players. In certain variations, jokers are also added. A cer𝑠𝑎𝑡𝑡𝑎 𝑘𝑖𝑛𝑔tain quantity of cards is dealt to each player, and the remaining cards make up the draw pile. In order to create melds—combinations of three or more cards that are either in sequence or of the same rank—players alternately draw from the draw pile or the discard pile.
