The festivities begin at 5 p.m. and will feature some world-class poker players such as World Series of Poker (WSOP) champion Ryan Riess and high-stakes legend Jason Koon. All proceeds from the evening will go to charity.
The charity event will take place at the Keep Memory Alive Event Center at 888 W. Bonneville Ave. Check-in for the charity event will start at 5 p.m. with the tournament kicking off at 6 p.m. Those who'd like to learn the basics of playing poker can participate in a skills tutorial at 5:30 p.m. leading up to the poker tournament.
Entrance into the tournament costs $800, but attendees who aren't interested in playing cards can purchase a $200 party ticket to join in on the fun without poker. The winner of the tournament will take home $10,000 in cash, and valuable non-cash prizes will be awarded to those who reach the final table. Guests can purchase tickets on the charity's website, and it is recommended that players RSVP by Nov. 1.
Keep Memory Alive and Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health, at Cleveland Clinic Nevada, aims to find, fund, and facilitate the most effective and innovative research and caregiver programming for patients and their families. All donations and tickets purchased from the poker event will go directly to the Cleveland Clinic.
The Keep Memory Alive Event Center, designed by world-renowned architect Frank Gehry, is located just two miles north of the Las Vegas Strip and just down the road from downtown's Fremont Street district.
Negreanu, a seven-time WSOP bracelet winner, will co-host the event with Binion, the WSOP's founding father.
