Three or more consecutive cards of the same suit make up a run, while three or more cards of the same rank make up a set. Players create their sets and runs by taking turns drawing cards from a central deck or taaviator game with bonusking up cards that have been discarded by other players. The player's turn ends when they have formed their sets and runs, at which point they can discard one card. Observing carefully which cards your opponents are discarding is a key tactic in Yono Rummy. In order to form their sets and runs, players can decide which cards to keep and which to discard by keeping track of which cards are available for them to pick up.
