Observing which cards they select to discard & which ones they take from the discard pile can reveal important information about their ta100 deposit bonusctics and possible melds. If an opponent routinely draws cards from the same suit, for instance, it can mean they are trying to finish a sequence in that suit. Also, you can determine how confident your opponents are in their hands by watching the timing of their discards.
