A well-planned strategy that considers both your hand and your opponents' possible moves is necessary to win at Color Rummy; luck alone is not enough. Monitoring which cards have beall new rummyen discarded and which are still in play is a useful tactic. You can obtain important information about your opponents' hands and modify your strategy by keeping an eye on what they are picking up or discarding. An opponent may not be pursuing a certain color for their sets or sequences if you observe, for example, that they are discarding cards of that color.
