After they have created legitimate combinations, players can also place their melds on the table. They can use opponents' discarded cards to finish their own melddaman gams, which not only shows their progress but also gives them the ability to influence the game. When one player successfully lays down all of their cards in valid melds, the round is over. At that point, there is a scoring phase where points are calculated based on how many unmelded cards each player still has in their hand.
