A run is a series of three or more consecutive cards of the same suit, whereas a set is a group of three or four cards of the same rank. The draw pile is created rummy goby placing the remaining cards face down on the table after each player receives a hand of cards at the start of the game. The discard pile is then started by turning the top card of the draw pile face up. Players can choose to take the top card from the discard pile or draw a card from the draw pile when it is their turn.
