On Monday night, Hellmuth’s Home Gamepresented by Poker Night in America (PNIA) and sponsored by BetRivers aired its second episode on CBS Sports.

The nationally-televised show, which airs weekly at 10 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. PT until the end of 2025, is unique in that there is no commentary. Instead, the show is carried by table talk from Phil Hellmuth alongside a cast of fellow pros and friends in an intimate, relaxed cash game setting.

PokerNewswatched the latest episode and compiled a recap of some of the biggest hands and interesting storylines. You can also watch full episodes on YouTube after they've aired. You can check out our recap from Episode 1 here.

Here’s how things stacked up at the start of the show:

PlayerStack
Nevada$8,975
Randy “3Coin” Sadler$10,675
Dan “Jungleman” Cates$25,200
Xuan Liu$25,900
Phil Hellmuth$3,650
DJ Washburn$14,075
Phillip Hellmuth III$2,725

The game was played with $25/$50 blinds with a $50 big blind ante. Here’s a look at some of the biggest hands from the first episode.

First Hand to 3Coin

3Coin
3Coin vs Jungleman

In the first hand of the episode, Randy “3Coin” Sadler raised to $200 holding the J10under the gun and Dan “Jungleman” Cates three-bet to $700 next to act with the 76. The rest of the players folded and the flop came down 6Q9.

3Coin flopped a spade flush with an open-ended straight flush redraw and he checked to Cates, who bet $300 with bottom pair. 3Coin then check-raised to $900 and Cates called to see the Kturn.

3Coin kept the pressure on with a bet of $3,000.

“Alright, you know what, that’s my cue,” Cates said before folding his hand. That prompted 3Coin to show the goods and do a little dance to celebrate.

“Check to the Better Player”

3Coin
3Coin vs. DJ Washburn

DJ Washburn raised to $250 from the hijack with the 87and 3Coin just flatted from the small blind with the KK. Cates called $200 more from the big blind with the J8and Xuan Liu, who had straddled for $100, called the additional $150 with the 75to make it four-way action to a flop of 227.

Three players checked to Washburn, who bet $400 with two pair deuces and sevens. 3Coin then woke up with a check-raise to $900, both Cates and Liu folded, and Washburn called $500 more to see the turn, which was the 7.

3Coin bet $3,000 and Washburn, who hit the one outer to fill up and take the lead, just called, which brought about the 9on the river.

“You know what I like to do here,” said 3Coin, “Check to the better player.”

Indeed, he checked it to Washburn, who bet $3,000. 3Coin quickly called and watched a $14,850 pot pushed to his opponent.

Cates Gets Called F-ing Around

Hellmuth
Dan Cates vs. Phil Hellmuth

Hellmuth finally got in action by min-raising to $100 holding the 86under the gun. Cates then three-bet to $400 with the 82in the small blind and Hellmuth called to see a flop of KJ3.

Cates continued for $300 and Hellmuth snap-raised to $900.

“Not much left, Jungle,” Hellmuth said, “I just have $2,600 total.”

“That’s what I get for f-ing around,” Cates said before folding.

“Me too,” Hellmuth said before showing the bluff, much to the delight of the table.

Who Can Bluff It Better?

3Coin vs Xuan Liu
Dan Cates

Midway through the episode, 3Coin raised to $300 with the 105in early position. Liu then three-bet to $900 with the 107in the cutoff and the rest of the field cleared out before 3Coin called and took a flop of K8K.

3Coin checked, Liu bet $450, and the former woke up with a min-check-raise to $900. Liu called and the 2appeared on the turn. 3Coin slowed down with a check and Liu took advantage by betting $1,700.

3Coin wasn’t a believer, however, and called to see the 2double pair the board on the river.

“I’m ready for a rebuy,” 3Coin said before moving all in for $6,175. Liu had little recourse but to fold and 3Coin showed the bluff, which sent a highly amused Cates shooting out of his chair.

“We would’ve chopped this hand,” Liu said. “I got wrecked.”

50 Cent Loves the Club

Nevada
Nevada (left) picks a bad time to jam.

In the last hand of the episode, Nevada called under the gun with the A8and Liu came from the cutoff with the A2. Hellmuth came along from the button with the A4, Washburn did the same with the 64in the small blind, and Phillip Hellmuth III made it five-way action by checking his option in the big blind with the K3.

When the flop came down 10A9, action checked to Liu and she bet $200. Hellmuth called, both Washburn and Hellmuth III folded, and Nevada called to see the Jturn.

Two checks opened the door for Hellmuth to bet $425 and both his opponents called, which brought about the 2on the river.

“Who likes the club?” Nevada asked.

“50 Cent,” Washburn deadpanned in reference to the famous rapper.

Nevada then moved all in for $3,550, Liu folded her two pair, and Hellmuth snap-called off for $2,000 with the nuts to win the $6,175 pot.
