A run is a series of three or more consecutive cards of the same suit, whereas a set is made up of three or four cards of the same rank. A set numbhorror slotser of cards are dealt to each player at the start of the game, depending on the variant. Keeping the top card face up, the remaining cards form the discard pile, while the remaining cards form the draw pile. Players alternately draw a card from each pile and then toss one out of their hands.
