Share on Twitter Share on Facebook 5 min readIt's just 50 days until the start of the 2025 World Series of Poker, where this year's schedule sees 100 bracelet events. And one event returning for this summer at Horseshoe and Paris is Bracelet Event #78 PokerNews Deepstack Championship (PNDC).
And this also means last year's popular PokerNews Daily Deepstack Challenge is coming back bigger and better than ever before!
From May 27 to June 30, players grinding the $200, $250, and $400 Daily Deepstacks tournaments at the WSOP will rack up leaderboard points. Every week, the top 10 players will be awarded a complimentary entry into the PNDC on July 1. That’s 50 seats up for grabs—10 more than last year, thanks to the additional week of action. And best of all? You can win multiple seats, meaning the more you play and perform, the better your shot at a deep WSOP run.
And if you’re wondering whether the PNDC is worth it, just look at last summer. The 2024 PNDC was a massive hit, attracting 5,110 entries and awarding Hector Berry a $282,876 payday after he defeated Luke Varrasso heads-up. This year’s event promises to be just as epic, with a four-day structure that gives players plenty of room to maneuver their way to a bracelet.
Wondering how close you are to securing your seat? We’ve got you covered. Throughout the WSOP, PokerNewswill track every leaderboard update so you know exactly where you stand. As soon as the official tracking page is live, it’ll be your go-to spot to see how you stack up against the competition.
Our leaderboard uses the same tried-and-true formula as the WSOP Player of the Year.

The PokerNews Daily Deepstack tournaments were a huge success last year, running 84 events across four weeks. A huge 31,973 entries generated $6,935,340 in prize pools, with $1,263,978 awarded to first-place winners alone. The biggest Daily Deepstack event saw 1,030 entries, while two more events broke the 1,000-entry barrier.
Famous faces like Olga Iermolcheva, commentator James Hartigan, 2015 WSOP Final Tablist Pierre Neuville, and even members of the WSOP Hall of Fame all jumped into the action.
For some, the PokerNews Daily Deepstack Challenge was more than just a way to win a tournament, it was a gateway to something bigger.
Just ask Simmy Mok. After surviving a life-changing car crash, poker became her saving grace. She had spent summers in Vegas but never took a shot at a bracelet event until last year. Mok won the first Daily Deepstack of the 2024 WSOP, and while she narrowly missed out on a PNDC ticket, she used her winnings to enter the Lucky 7’s bracelet event, marking her first-ever WSOP tournament. Stories like hers show that these deepstack tournaments can be the stepping stones to bigger WSOP dreams.
The buy-in for the PokerNews Deepstack Championship event at the 2025 WSOP is $600 - among one of the lowest buy-ins in the Series. We looked to give low-stakes grinders an opportunity to win their way to a coveted WSOP bracelet, and the $600 entry fee is both affordable and offers the chance to win big money from an expected large prize pool.
The PokerNews Deepstack Championship event will be held between July 1-4, 2025. It's the 78th event in the 2025 WSOP.
The PokerNews Deepstack Championship will be held in a new, vibrant venue near the Horseshoe poker room, Las Vegas.
Like any other event at the Series, to play the PokerNews Deepstack Championship, simply register from one of the multiple registration desks at the venue.
The PokerNews Daily Deepstack Challenge is a leaderboard promotion running from May 27 to June 30. Players participating in the daily $200, $250, or $400 deep stack tournaments at the WSOP will earn points. The top 10 point earners each week will receive complimentary seats for the $600 PokerNews Deepstack Championship.
The leaderboard system will follow the same formula used for the WSOP Player of the Year
