Making legitimate sets & sequences with the cards in your hand is the goal of rummy. A group of three or four cards with the same rank but different suits is considered a valid set; a group of three or more consecutive cards with the same suit issignals and slots in qt considered a valid sequence. You can draw cards from an open or closed deck to create sets and sequences, and you can reduce your hand by discarding unwanted cards. You can end the game by declaring your hand once you've created sets and sequences that are valid. You will award penalty points to your opponents based on the value of the cards they still have in hand if they haven't formed any valid sets or sequences. At the conclusion of the game, the player with the fewest points wins.
