Michael Mizrachi has lost one of the biggest pots of the 2025 WSOP Main Event, as the seven-time bracelet winner couldn’t find a fold with pocket kings against pocket aces in a nearly million-chip clash.

One of the top stacks after the dinner break of Day 3, “The Grinder” saw his Main Event hopes take a significant hit after Alaskan-based Joey Padron scored a massive double-up and collected the 884,000 chip pot.

Playing on the feature table, Mizrachi, who captured a record fourth Poker Players Championship just ten days ago, tanked for several minutes before making a call that would severely dent his stack.

Read how the hand unfolded below:

The stream picked up the action as Arsenii Karmatckii opened to 11,000 with AQ. Padron then three-bet to 32,000 holding AA, before Mizrachi four-bet to 81,000 in late position.

Karmatckii would find the fold before Padron responded with a five-bet to 232,000.

Mizrachi went into the tank before announcing all in, raising for an additional 430,000 and putting Padron's Main Event life at risk. However, Padron holding bullets would waste no time making the call, snapping to create a massive 884,000-chip pot.

The flop ran out 9J6offering no help to Mizrachi's kings, before 7on the turn, and 6on the river, would ensure Padron’s aces held to earn the full double and one of the biggest pots of the tournament so far.

Despite the hit, Mizrachi remains in the tournament as Day 3 nears its close and the money bubble approaches.

As we enter the final level of a high-paced Day 3, several big names have already exited the halls of Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas, their Main Event dreams over for another year.

None more brutally than Phil Hellmuth, who was eliminated earlier this afternoon after falling victim to a devastating one-outer on the river.

Also hitting the rail was defending champion Jonathan Tamayo, who couldn’t turn his $160 satellite entry into back-to-back Main Event victories.

And with plenty of play left before the bags come out, there’s still time for more drama. Follow all the action live on PokerNewswith coverage of the 2025 WSOP Main Event.
