Since the 19th century, rummy has been a popular card game. It is thought to have originated with the Chinese game Mapokerstars slotshjong. As the game made its way to Europe and the US, it became more well-liked and took on different forms. Conquian, which originated in Mexico & was brought to the US by Mexican immigrants, was one of the first iterations of rummy.
