A run is a series of three or more consecutive cards of the same suit, whereas a set is made up of three or four cards of the same rank. Initroyyly rummyially, a hand of cards is dealt to each player. The top card is placed face-up next to the remaining cards to form a discard pile, and the remaining cards form a face-down draw pile. Each player takes a turn drawing a card from either pile and discarding one card from their hand.
